CHOOSE THE RIGHT PAINT FOR THE RIGHT LOCATION - QUICK FRENCHIC SELECTION GUIDE
Sometimes it can be difficult to choose a paint range and you wonder if the shade and range you selected suit your project.
Since we have several ranges, we want to help you find the right range for your project.
In this short guide, we introduce you to the most common options to make your choice easier.
It's this easy:
In brief:
- Only the Al Fresco range is suitable for outdoor furniture.
- All Frenchic Paint ranges are suitable for indoor surfaces and furniture.
- Waxes and Topcoats: for untreated and painted wood.
- Waxes only for indoor surfaces
- Topcoats are also suitable for outdoors, for example to protect the paint surface of exterior doors and garden furniture.
When choosing a paint range, consider at least these:

- Frenchic Paint ranges have different gloss levels: satin, matte, or ultra matte
- different shades per range
- different container sizes per range: 250ml, 500ml, 750ml or 2.5l

Frenchic Paint ranges, container sizes, coverage, and gloss levels:

Al Fresco: 250ml: approx. 4m2 and 750ml: 12m2, matte finish. For outdoor and indoor use.

Cork floor: not recommended, as cork floors are often maintained by waxing.
PAINTABLE SURFACE AND SUITABLE FRENCHIC PAINT SERIES

WOOD FLOOR, INDOORS
Suitable series: Chalk Wall Paint, wall paint:
Also suitable for indoor wood, concrete, and most laminate floors, when applied according to instructions - however, note that these surfaces may require regular maintenance depending on wear.
For example, pet nails, sand, and stones easily scratch any painted surface.
Not suitable for areas with standing water, such as shower or sauna floors, and Frenchic Paint cannot be used as a waterproofing layer in structures.
Finishing coatings
Not for tiled floors.
For decorative floor painting, stripes or stencil patterns, you can also use all other Frenchic series.
If you wish, you can finish the painted surface with a fast-drying, glossy or matte Finishing coating.

PAINT ONLY CLEAN, INTACT, AND DRY SURFACES
Please don't believe the talk that no preparations are needed!
A rule of thumb could be that especially surfaces subject to heavy wear are carefully roughened or sanded (chair seat, table top, etc.).
- After cleaning, the surface is sanded.
- Painting is done on a dry and clean surface.
- Light surface roughening or sanding is an important step and affects the durability of the paint surface, do not skip these steps.
- All paints benefit from carefully done preparations.
