Painting pots is easy with paints from the Frenchic series.
If you want to plant the plant directly in the pot, note that an unglazed pot must also be sealed on the inside. Finishing Coat works well for this. If you paint a plastic pot, the inside does not need to be painted or sealed.

What if you paint the front door and the large pots by the door in the same shade?
A colorful welcome message is sure to get the admiration and attention it deserves from both guests and neighbors.
With the generous amount of Frenchic paint, you can paint many large pots, even with a small 250ml test can. If you are interested in painting an exterior door, instructions can be found here.
The pots in the photo below are painted in the inky blue After Midnight shade, from the Al Fresco series.

Unglazed clay pot
Do you want to paint a clay pot? First check these things: is the inside of your pot also unglazed?
If you want to plant a plant in it, remember to coat the inside of the pot as well. Watering water will soak into the porous red clay pot and can peel off even durable paint on the outside.
For coating the inside, a waterproof Finishing Coat works well, for example. two or three layers are enough. If you are using a plastic planter and the clay pot is only serving as a protective pot, then protecting the inside is not necessary.
Outdoor or indoor pot
Choose Al Fresco series paints for outdoor pots; their shades will not fade in the sun because Al Fresco series paints contain UV protection.
Any Frenchic paint set is suitable for the pots inside. You can paint plastic pots, metal pots or ceramic pots.
Combine old pots into tall pots with legs, by gluing one pot underneath the other with the bottom. Finish the whole thing by painting it to make it look unified.
My style - Black & white
You can combine your own personalized pots with handmade hanging baskets and get a new style from your old pots. The picture below uses the black Loof shade and the white Whitey White shade from the Lazy range series . The modern look is completed by a handmade leather hanging basket.

Remember these guidelines when painting pots:
Prepare the pot's surface to be painted, like any other surface to be painted: cleaning and roughening if necessary if the surface is slippery, shiny and smooth + drying.
-
Only paint on a dry and clean surface. Wash off any soil and moss from the outside and inside of the pot.
- After washing clay pots/porous materials, the drying time can be up to 24 hours, depending on the size of the pot and the temperature at which the drying takes place. A good rule of thumb is: wash and paint on different days.
- Observe drying times between coats of paint, 2h Al Fresco
- Always seal/coat the inside of the pot if it is not already glazed, otherwise moisture from the irrigation water will get through the pot under the paint surface and the paint may start to peel off.
- To seal, you can use Finishing Coat or Tuff Top Coat - 2-3 even coats are enough.
-
Also paint and seal the bottom of the pot to prevent moisture from entering the porous material of the pot.
- Be prepared for maintenance painting if water gets under the pot's paint surface due to a crack in the surface, etc.
- Store painted pots protected from the weather during the winter.
