It was love at first sight! - Toned Restore

It was love at first sight!

I'm here from Lohja, hello! I have established my own painting business for the first time
of the company in 2012. However, I started painting jobs back in 1996 when I was at vocational school.

Everything has been done that is related to the surface treatment industry and also to the construction industry, if we are precise.

Today, I work as an entrepreneur at SävykäsRestore Oy, which
offers renovation, color and interior design, furniture restoration and painting.

Frenchic Paint® was included in the patterns,
when I found the goal myself in the fall of 2021. It was love at first sight!

The constellations aligned last September 2022 and that's how the study room was born
shop in Kalkkipetter office hotel premises, Kievarintie
I am crocheting in Lohja. I paint furniture in the studio
as customer works or self-designed and tuned for sale.

Painting courses and advice

There are also good facilities for holding Frenchic Paint® painting courses here.
There have been really nice and skilled painters on the courses! Here
there would be some wall painting instructions for all enthusiasts
for painters.

Basic tips:

I always have the same advice for DIY painters:
Don't slip from the groundwork and invest in good tools!
I completely understand all the distaste for groundwork,
but they separate the wheat from the chaff! Everyone can paint,
but the groundwork is visible in the finished surface, so good and
in bad.

Start by washing the tables
The preparation of the wall to be painted begins by wiping the dust from it.
A long-handled microfiber mop is a good helper here. Dust and e.g. Otherwise, the cobwebs will be left spinning around the goal
into the mix and they dry into a nice lump at worst in the middle
prepare the wall.

Wash the surface to be painted clean
After removing the dust, the wall is washed if necessary and rinsed
or wiped with clean water. There are surprising places of fat
for example, in the bedroom as a wall at the head of the bed, when there is
tangled hair stuff or there is a leaning arm
under the head against the wall. Hairspray causes trouble in the bathroom
along walls and floors.

Level and prime if necessary
Big holes and dents are primed before smoothing, so that
the screed has a good adhesion surface and does not come off
from its platform. Sanding dust is removed from sanded screed areas
carefully, otherwise bubbling may occur in the final surface,
when the paint is not properly attached to its base. After that
the sanded smoothing areas are primed so that the final surface does not
there are differences in gloss or putty spots do not appear as smoother edges.

Then the good tools!

A high-quality roller or brush won't loosen and bristle when painting.

The hair of a high-quality roller is also shaped so that it does not leave thick ridges along the wall.
Wash the new tools before the first painting and
spin, shake, wipe and squeeze dry. There are tools
good to be a little (I really mean a little) damp, when they
it's easier to wash when they haven't fully absorbed themselves
paint. Even then, the amount of paint is what is on the side of the jar
we promise.

Start painting from the edges, i.e. by making the cuts

If you use tape, you can carefully paint the edges directly with a small one
with a roller over the tape. If you don't use tape and paint the edges
with a brush, then fade the edge a little with a roller, then no
brush marks remain visible on the finished surface.
A good trick to get really sharp paint borders is to paint first
"cover" the edge of the tape with the base color, and when it has dried,
paint over with topcoat. Remember to peel off the tape when you paint
it's still wet!! In this case too, use better quality
paper tape.

The end result is immediately more professional, and you do
to make my neighbor Kalevi jealous of the elegance of the painting work.

If the Painting work continues the next day, you can store wet
tools in a well-sealed plastic bag at the time. When
when it's time to wash, we "squeeze" e.g. a wooden stick from the roller
excess paints back into the paint can and dried with a brush
in protective papers or newspaper, so that it is not put unnecessarily
paint down the drain.

Painting tools are rotated, shaken, wiped and
pressed dry again and left to air dry,
preferably in a hanging position with hairs down and roller hairs
fluffy. That's why it's nice to use them in the next one
all at once when inspiration strikes!
