Design and shade selection – mood first

Easy comparison and a sure result

Consider the room's lighting, size, and purpose – a light shade opens up the space, a dark one adds depth and atmosphere. Do you want to create a serene calm or bold drama? Frenchic has shades for both needs, such as:

Preparation: the key to success

A good result starts with a clean and smooth surface. Remove loose paint or wallpaper, clean the walls thoroughly, and fill in holes. Frenchic paint also adheres well to previously painted surfaces, so often a light sanding is enough.

Supplies:

  • Frenchic wall paint
  • Roller and extension pole
  • Small brush for corners and edges
  • Masking tape, protective plastic, and filler
  • Cleaning agent, e.g. Sugar Soap

Do like this:

  1. Clean the walls. Remove dust, dirt, and grease – Sugar Soap works excellently.
  2. Smooth out holes and unevenness. Even small dents show on a matte surface.
  3. Lightly sand if the surface is glossy.
  4. Protect the floor and moldings carefully.

Painting steps – start boldly

  1. Start from edges and corners with a brush. This way you get a neat finish.
  2. Use a roller for large surfaces – make smooth, long strokes from top to bottom.
  3. Apply two coats: the first thin, the second finishes the surface.
  4. Let dry for at least 2–4 hours between coats.

Finishing and maintenance – enjoy the result for a long time

Frenchic wall paint is very durable and washable. It also withstands life: the hustle of a family with children, kitchen grease splashes, or hallway dirt. If you want extra protection, you can finish the surface with, for example, Frenchic Finishing Coat.
