What is the best way to care for a microfiber roll?
✅ One of the biggest advantages of microfiber rollers is their easy cleaning.
Wash them well after each use. If you let the paint dry on the roller, the fibers can harden. You can use a small dish and hand soap to lather up a microfiber roller, then spin it under running water until the water runs clear.
Remember to rinse thoroughly (at least two or three times) and soak the roller for a while in water to make sure that all the paint has definitely come off. When you take care of a high-quality roller, you can reuse it.
Also remember to wash the roller before you use it.
Squeeze the excess water out of the roller, spin the roller so that the fibers rise up and start painting with a tight roller. Do a test roll on the level to make sure that there is no more water in the fibers before lifting the paint.
Is microfiber as good for primer as for topcoat?
✅ Generally, microfiber rollers are intended for finishing. They are recommended for use with water-based products - so you can try rollers for water-based primers and coatings.
What does the pile height of the roller affect?
✅ Everything depends on the condition of the substrate and surface to be painted. In general, the higher the pile, the more "orange surface" you will see if you are painting on a flat surface. Choose a long-nosed, 10mm or 15mm roller if the surface to be painted has irregularities, such as a stone wall or raw board.
The most common fiber heights are:
5 mm, Smooth surfaces ; kitchen cabinet doors, furniture, door moldings
10 mm, For medium-rough and normal surfaces , walls and panels, ceilings
15 mm, Rough surfaces : walls, panels, concrete and other patterned, uneven surfaces

Are TFB rollers suitable for applying any varnish?
✅ Our rollers can be used with water-based varnishes, but we recommend testing first if you want to try with a solvent-based varnish.
Can microfiber rollers be used with water-based and oil-based paints?
✅ In general, we recommend using microfiber rollers with water-based paints to achieve the best results. However, you can also use some oil-based paints; we recommend always testing the use/bigger project first.
