Kirsi’s favorite shades, stories, atmosphere and colors with a bold heart
Kirsi sees colors as opportunities to tell stories. In her hands, old furniture and home details are given a new lease on life, with creativity, depth and the courage to experiment.
Kirsi’s favorite shades are colors that bring personality and warmth to a home. Sometimes the perfect choice is a deep, dramatic shade; other times, a soft backdrop that gives the home’s own story room to unfold.
"Here are Päivänsäde’s five colors. The idea was to choose muted, soft colors that are easy to use in interiors, both on small and large surfaces, and that work well together.
All these colors can also be found in Päivänsäde’s own home, so she has experience with the chosen colors both on their own and together.
Two of these colors are also available as wall paints (Green with Envy and Earthy), while the others are used on furniture. The idea was also to choose one green, one yellow, one blue, one red (Earthy) and one neutral (Nougat) for the palette. A little like Päivänsäde’s rainbow.
Päivänsäde’s color palette is perfect for old houses, summer cottages and grandma’s cabins, bringing color and atmosphere."
